Although the opalite commonly sold may look like opal, it is not a natural gemstone. Instead, it is a man-made material typically produced from glass or resin. Even though it does not form in nature, opalite remains popular for its smooth texture and glowing look.
In terms of color, opalite is often colorless or milky white. Under natural light, it may appear pale blue, but under indoor lighting, it may take on peach, orange, or other warm tones.
