Paul is a 16-year-old boy living on one of Jupiter’s moons called Ganymede. When Paul’s family moved to Ganymede, his father bought a robot to help take care of him. Rex is a companion robot that is programmed to follow commands. He looks after Paul and keeps him safe. Despite being a machine that can’t feel emotions, he is a lot like a human. Paul doesn’t have friends, but he has Rex. They spend all of their time together and even have secret places where they can go to talk in private.
