Located in Calpe, Spain, one of the most unique architectural creations can be spotted from the Mediterranean shore. It is called La Muralla Roja, or “The Red Wall.” With its bright colors and irregular angles, the building stands out from the surrounding architecture. La Muralla Roja was designed by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill in the late 1960s and was completed in 1973. Built as an apartment complex with 50 units, it remains occupied by residents today.
