Everyone who lives will someday die; this is a hard truth that we come to understand over time. Every culture in the world has its own customs for coming to terms with the natural cycle of life and death. In Mexico, one of the most important holidays is the Day of the Dead. The Day of the Dead usually takes place on November 1st and 2nd and is widely observed in Mexico, where the tradition largely originated and developed.
