Although clouds appear and disappear just like magic, scientists can explain how it happens. The process usually begins in the late morning, when the Sun heats up the Earth’s surface. As the ground temperature increases, bubbles of warm air form and start to rise up into the sky. These air bubbles keep rising higher and higher like hot-air balloons. Finally, they are cooled down by cold air as they reach great heights. When the air bubbles get cooler, they can no longer hold all the moisture they contain.
