For many people, a cup of coffee is simply a practical way to start the day and stay productive. However, Turkish coffee is regarded as an important part of Turkey’s cultural heritage. It carries deep meanings related to tradition and social life rather than serving only as a daily drink. Turkish coffee is made from freshly roasted coffee beans that are ground into a very fine powder. The drink is prepared in a special small copper pot called a cezve.
