Whether you are young or old, an adventure lover or someone who enjoys art, the Sapporo Snow Festival has something for everyone. The festival’s main event, the International Snow Sculpture Contest, takes place within the Odori Site, where people can see the snow sculptures up close. In this contest, teams of artists from various countries compete to create snow sculptures. At night, the sculptures are lit up with colorful lights, turning the area into a magical winter wonderland.
