Computers and electronic devices are everywhere in modern life, from work and school to entertainment and communication. Children today often spend more time staring at screens than playing outdoors. But in Helsinki, Finland, a new approach is turning that trend on its head: a space where kids can explore computing concepts without ever touching a screen. Playground Ruoholahti is a computer-themed playground that combines physical activity with digital thinking. It features big versions of a desktop computer, keyboard, mobile phone, and game controller.
