Throughout East Asia, one of the biggest holidays of the year is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is also known as the Moon Festival. Historically, the festival is associated with the autumn equinox and the fall harvest. It is a time for families to come together and give thanks for all of their good fortune. As people prepare for the cold winter months, the bright moon is a symbol of life, hope, and reunion.
