Lucy and Jeff are discussing what to give their mom for Mother’s Day and how they can surprise her.
L: Jeff, Mother’s Day is around the corner. We need to figure out a gift and maybe a surprise, too.
J: Right. I was thinking we could get her that silk scarf she was admiring at the mall last month.
L: Good thinking! Should we stick to a simple celebration or try to do more this year?
J: She has worked hard to raise us, so I really want to show how thankful I am. How about we prepare a handwritten card to express our gratitude?
