As an adult, Lisa would go on to work behind the scenes on radio programs for the BBC, a broadcasting organization in the UK. After a decade of working at the BBC, she became a freelance radio broadcast assistant. It wasn’t until 2017, at the age of 43, that she published her first children’s novel, The Goldfish Boy. The book became a national bestseller and was even nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize.
