Like wolves, many wolfdogs enjoy exploring their environment. Their curiosity may lead them to bite or claw at furniture and other items at home. Wolfdogs often guard their food and mark their territory. In addition, some wolfdogs have a strong drive to chase and hunt smaller animals, which may cause problems if they live with other pets.
Another difference is the way wolfdogs interact with people. Dogs have lived with humans for thousands of years, so they usually form strong bonds with people and respond well to training.
