On Mother’s Day, Lucy and Jeff work together to handle the household chores and prepare a dinner for their mother.
L: Now that Mom’s out, let’s finish everything before she gets back.
J: OK. I’ll do the laundry, and you can vacuum the floors.
L: Great. Don’t forget to wipe down the kitchen counters. She’s going to be surprised.
J: No kidding! I don’t think she suspects anything. Now, about dinner—should we make her favorite grilled chicken and mashed potatoes?
L: Definitely. I’ll marinate the chicken while you wash the vegetables. Let’s also make the apple pie she loves for dessert.
