1.     在新學期的開始，許多學生很難早起去上學。

可譯為：At the start of a new semester, many students have a hard time getting up early for school.

譯題密技：

        have a hard time + V-ing / with N　　做……有困難；在……方面有困難

have a hard time 後面可接 V-ing 或 with N，表「做……有困難；在……方面有困難」，類似用法還有：have difficulty / trouble / problems + V-ing / with N
字詞加油站：

        a.     semester [ sJ`mEstK ] n. 學期

        b.     get up　　起床

 

2.     為了適應新學期，他們需要改變日常作息並培養良好的學習習慣。

可譯為：In order to settle into the new semester, they need to change their daily routines and develop good study habits.

譯題密技：

        (in order) to V　　為了（要）……

in order to V 為表示「目的」的不定詞片語，in order 可省略，使用時可置於主要子句前面或後面，置於主要子句前面時，須用逗點與主要子句隔開。

        a.     settle into...　　適應（新的家、工作、環境等）

        b.     routine　n. 慣例（的作息），例行公事

        c.     develop　vt. 培養
